Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Project

Persatuan Seni Jahitan Kreatif Malaysia (PSJKM) and Perlis Plantation Berhad (PPB) continue their mission to empower vulnerable communities through the Zero to Hero Empowerment Program, which is a CSR Project initiated by PBB and selected PSJKM to execute it. Building on the success of the 2021 initiative, where 30 women transitioned from “zero to hero” through a comprehensive sewing project, this year’s program introduces new elements to further support participants in building sustainable businesses. Expanding Opportunities with Offline Exposure

PSJKM now provides participants with valuable offline exposure. By participating in events organized by government agencies, NGOs, and corporate entities, these individuals gain real-world experience. PSJKM invites participants to join these events and set up booths, allowing them to showcase their products and engage directly with potential customers. This initiative gives participants the chance to build confidence and understand the marketplace.

Leveraging an Exclusive Online Handcraft Platform

To help participants reach a broader audience, PSJKM offers access to its exclusive online selling platform. This platform focuses solely on handcraft products, giving participants the opportunity to market and sell their creations online. By leveraging this digital space, they can enhance their income potential and establish a strong online presence. (Sewing World Online)

Continuous Support with Six Months of Tailored Monitoring

PSJKM ensures participants receive continuous support through a six-month monitoring program. This period of guidance helps them navigate the challenges of starting a business. With tailored assistance, participants gain the confidence and resources they need to succeed independently. This approach reinforces PSJKM’s commitment to sustainable empowerment.

Real-World Experience through Business Matching Sessions

On the final day of training, participants engage in a business matching session. In this session, they act as booth sellers and workshop operators, interacting with the public. This hands-on experience simulates real-life business scenarios, preparing them for future entrepreneurial opportunities. The session equips participants with practical skills and confidence to face the market.
