Empowerment Initiative: PSJKM and PPB’s Collaboration in 2023

In 2023, PSJKM partnered with Perlis Plantation Berhad (PPB) to empower 50 individuals from the B40 and E-Kasih communities. This milestone marks the third successful session under this impactful collaboration, showcasing a shared empowerment commitment to fostering sustainable livelihoods.

Scaling Empowerment with PPB

The first two sessions, held in previous years, trained 30 participants each. Seeing the remarkable outcomes of PSJKM’s comprehensive programs, PPB decided to scale up the initiative. In 2023, they increased the number of participants to 50, reflecting their confidence in PSJKM’s ability to empower communities and generate sustainable income opportunities.

Comprehensive Training for Long-Term Impact

Participants received tailored training in sewing, eco-printing, and natural dyeing, equipping them with marketable skills. The program provided sewing machines, materials, and a business starter kit to ensure long-term success. With a six-month mentorship, PSJKM guided participants in building sustainable income streams and achieving financial stability.
